Pierrot’s Day Off

Before meeting the creative team of Kiko Kostadinov’s women’s wear, we were given the research topic of uniforms. I started looking into how a character can be constructed and identified by its costume/uniform and became enamored by Pierrot’s iconic outfit.

As I began working with collage and early prototyping I began to mix Pierrot’s iconography with modern street wear (specifically the tracksuit) to create an design for Pierrot’s day off. I wanted to explore what the clown’s uniform would become when he is off stage and spending a chill day with friends.
